Hello! I am an App’ State Graduate student where I spend my time learning about education and methods of instruction. I am passionate about making a difference in the world. I love celebrating diversity, being a steward to the Earth, and spreading kindness! I am a big animal lover, as you can see my dog, Krypto, in the picture to the right! M.A. READING EDUCATION
Currently, I am in the Graduate program to receive a Master of Arts in Reading Education. In this program, I am exposed to many different books focused on methods to teach Reading Education as well as books that I can use in my future classroom. I also research and analyze different text sets and research instructional methods in a more in depth form.
CERT. TEACHING EMERGENT BILINGUAL POPULATIONS IN CONTENT AREAS
As I complete my graduate studies, I am also completing classes to receive a certificate in Teaching Emergent Bilingual Populations. These classes focus on understanding and instructing students who are learning English as a second language and/or are in a bilingual education program.

B.S. ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
In my time completing my Undergraduate studies, I conducted several internships where I got hands-on experience educating and tutoring students at the Elementary level. During these internships, I researched, planned, and carried out many lesson plans. Afterwards, I was able to reflect on these experiences with education professionals.
CONCENTRATION IN GLOBAL ISSUES
Throughout getting my degree in Elementary education, I also took classes each year that taught me about Global Issues. These classes developed my understanding about the diverse populations around the globe and the difficulties different populations face. This grew my empathy for others and showed me how to enact change.
